If you are a car buyer looking for a used vehicle, it’s really important that you know what the classification of your chosen car is. That way, you can be sure that both of you will be on the same page when negotiating the price. Classifications are often described as a letter, but this label is very misleading and is not always useful.
Here are the classifications used cars:
Salvage
A salvage title is usually given to a used cars in chandler that has been damaged in an accident and cannot be repaired such as a severe collision, fire or flood that prevents the car from being made operational again. Salvage vehicles have to be rebuilt, which means that the cost will be higher because of the extra labor.
Junk
A junk title car has not been repaired or is too far damaged to be repaired and it’s considered unsafe to drive. Frame

That damage is usually referred to as “rust”. This means that the car has been damaged after it was already used and is not being sold for daily use.
Rebuilt/Reconditioned
A rebuilt or reconditioned vehicle is one that has been repaired and was put back into service again. It is still said to be in good condition but there are no issue with its original parts. These cars can be sold for daily use.
Used
A used car usually has a good appearance and has no damage but it is old, used and in need of repair for other problems such as the catalytic converter or the transmission system. These cars still have a big chance of working well, so it’ll only cost you money for repairs after buying it.
Certified
A certified car is one that has been inspected by a certified inspector or by the manufacturer of the car. These cars usually have no issues and are in excellent condition but may have some cosmetic damage and some small issue, such as a ding or scratch. A certified car has to be sold at full price because of those flaws yet it will still guarantee you safe driving and low maintenance costs when you use it since it’s already been inspected for damages.
